Since its founding, Hithium has positioned itself as a specialist in energy storage system (ESS) cells, arguing that dedicated focus allows for product designs optimized specifically for storage duty cycles, which differ meaningfully from the charge and discharge patterns of EV batteries. The new facility is expected to expand the company's capacity to serve utility, commercial, and industrial storage customers.
